PALM SUNDAY PROCESSION
Sunday March 19, 2017
The third Sunday of each month is YOUTH SERVICE SUNDAY. During this service the youth of our parish actively participate in the service by performing all the ministries involved in the service including Altar Guild, Greeters, Readers, Usher, Offertory, Choir and of course the children's story. During this weeks service the youth placed their hands in water and with Fr. Daniel they blessed and made the water come "ALIVE". Each received a bottle of "LIVING WATER" to take home. It was a powerful and memorable experience for all.
We also welcomed home and recognized our college members of the congregation. This students are role models for our younger members as they return to their Church home of St. Gabriels during Spring and Summer breaks.
Also, following the service, we had our annual visit from Chuckie O’ Mitchell & Ruthie O’Brown spreading Good Cheer and Good Luck to all. Although the kettle was almost empty, we never run out of golden moments at St. Gabriel’s. Love and Luck to all... Thank you Chuck and Ruth for a fun time in honor of St. Pats.

Saint Gabriel's Sunday School Becomes Fruit of the Vine
Deacon Holly from St. James has a personal missionary of collecting toiletries for local shelters. She requested help to sort and pack so that the items could be put into the hands of those in need. After studying John 15:1-8 Students at Saint Gabriel's Sunday School put their lesson into action. Students sorted and packed personal hygiene products into a hundred+ individual bags that will distributed to shelters in Loudoun County. The fruit of their labor will now be put into the hands of those who need it most. Thank you Deacon Holly and Deacon Maureen for helping us understand the far reaching aspect of this simple task.
On Shrove Tuesday St. Gabriels gathered for a traditional pancake supper and evening prayers. The English and Spanish speaking members of our congregation came together for this special bi-lingual prayer service and supper.
